Use Our Minibuses

In order to use our minibuses organisations need to be a member group of Community Transport (Brighton, Hove & Area) Ltd.

Our minibuses can be booked for as little as an hour or as long as a week or more.

Member organisations can book to use our minibuses on a regular basis or for one off trips.

Using your own driver

We can provide a driver or alternatively you can use your own volunteer driver.

If you wish to use your own volunteer driver, they must hold a valid MiDAS certificate or East Sussex County Council Minibus Driving Certificate. Find out more about Training and MiDAS such as the requirements of volunteer drivers and the MiDAS assessement that we provide.

If you use a Community Transport driver the following charges will apply - driver charge, mileage charge, and hourly rate for vehicle or weekend half day/full day rate.

If you use your own volunteer driver then the mileage charge and hourly rate for vehicle or weekend half day/full day rate will apply.

Weekday Rates

Driver Charge: £10 per hour

Hourly rate for vehicle: £8 per hour

Mileage Charge: 60p per mile

Maximum time charge is 8 hours in any one day.

Weekend Rates

Driver Charge: £11 per hour

Half day: £25 plus fuel at 60p per mile

Full day: £50 plus fuel at 60p per mile

Saturday and Sunday: £80 plus fuel at 60p per mile

If a CT driver is required at weekends or after 6pm there will be a minimum charge for driver of 4 hours.
