We have no current vacancies; however we are happy to accept applications for part-time minibus drivers and passenger assistants at any time, and will consider them when a vacancy arises.

What sort of people are we looking for?

We are looking for people with a caring and patient nature. Prior to appointment an enhanced CRB check would be required.

Minibus Drivers

It is essential that you have a D1 on your driving licence. Experience working alongside people with special needs, elderly and ethnic minorities is desirable. A good knowledge of the Brighton and Hove area is also desirable.

Any successful applicants would be required to undertake a MiDAS assessment and would receive the necessary wheelchair training. Prior to appointment an enhanced CRB check would be required.

Duties would include morning and afternoon school runs, and a mix of group work taking young and elderly people on local excursions and places of interest, to day centres and meeting rooms, including shopping trips and help with their shopping bags.

Passenger Assistants

Duties would include, travelling with special needs children on a minibus driven by one of our drivers. We pick the children up from their homes in the morning and drop them off at school, and do the reverse in the afternoon. Full training will be given, along with on the job mentoring. Hours of work are generally 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.
